Ribbon Cuttings
The Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate your business with a ribbon cutting ceremony! This service is at no cost to Chamber members at the Bronze Level and above who are celebrating a grand opening or milestone event. It is a unique way for the Chamber to help market you and your business.
Partner with us to celebrate your:
- Grand Opening (within one year of opening)
- Milestone Anniversary (1 year or more)
- New Location
- New Owner
- Renovation/Expansion
The Chamber will provide:
- A staff member or Ambassador to facilitate your ceremony
- Large ceremonial scissors and ribbon
- Your event listed on the Chamber website and in e-newsletter
- E-mailed event invitation to Chamber members
- Photo of your ribbon cutting posted to social media; framed photo recognizing the event to post in your business.
- Press release sent to local media announcing the event
Planning your ribbon cutting:
- Ribbon cuttings are most successful when held during regular business hours (11am or 4pm are popular times as more guests are able to attend during lunch or near the end of the workday.). We are not able to facilitate ribbon cuttings on the same day as a scheduled Chamber event.
- The Chamber cannot guarantee attendance at your event. It is suggested that you consider hosting an open house in conjunction with your ribbon cutting ceremony - invite your clients, neighbors, family, friends and colleagues, promote your event on social media, and to other groups you are involved with.
- Facility tours and a reception with refreshments are recommended after the ceremony.
- If you plan to offer discounts, prizes, or giveaways, make sure to share this information with us to help us better promote the event.
